Baghdad: Lieutenant General Walid al-Tamimi, Commander of Baghdad Operations, chaired a comprehensive security conference at the Operations Command headquarters. The conference gathered division commanders from the Army, Federal Police, Baghdad Police (Karkh and Rusafa districts), Law Enforcement, intelligence agencies, traffic police, emergency services, civil defense, a representative from the Popular Mobilization Forces, and several staff officers.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the conference focused on reviewing the most important duties, tasks, and results achieved by the security forces. The Operations Commander commended the role of the security forces and their collaboration with intelligence agencies, noting a decline in organized and criminal activities, as well as armed tribal conflicts.
He stressed the importance of intensifying intelligence efforts, continuing proactive operations, and conducting area search and inspection operations to pursue outlaws and members of organized and criminal groups. The execution of judicial arrest warrants was highlighted as a priority to enhance security and stability across all areas of responsibility.
The Commander also directed support and assistance to government institutions and departments in fulfilling their duties. He emphasized the importance of cooperation with citizens to maintain their security and safety and called for decisive measures against those who threaten public peace and security.
