Baghdad: Following a significant meeting between the head of the Iraqi Football Association and the Baghdad Provincial Council, an allocation of 100 dunams has been announced for the development of a new headquarters for the Federation in Baghdad. The President of the Iraqi Football Association, Younis Mahmoud, hosted Ammar Al-Hamdani, the President of the Baghdad Governorate Council, at the Professional League Association headquarters on Wednesday. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting was attended by key figures including Ghalib Al-Zamili, a member of the Executive Committee of the Iraqi Football Association, and Basim Attiya, head of the Youth and Sports Committee and the Integrity Committee. Discussions focused on collaboration and support for the association's plans and future projects, with an emphasis on youth development and nurturing promising football talents. During the visit, the allocation of 100 dunams of land was announced, aimed at establishing a state-of-the-art headquarters and training facilities for youth teams. These developments are expected to enhance both the administrative and technical aspects of Iraqi football by providing essential infrastructure. The head of the Baghdad Provincial Council expressed admiration for the proposals put forth by Younis Mahmoud and affirmed support for initiatives that target different age groups, contributing to the growth of the next generation of players.
