Baghdad’s Hosting of Arab Parliament Meetings Highlights Its Role in Joint Arab Action


Baghdad: President of the Republic, Abdul Latif Jamal Rashid, affirmed that Baghdad’s hosting of the Arab Parliament’s meetings highlights its important status and role in joint Arab action. A presidential statement revealed that the President welcomed the Deputy Speaker of the Arab Parliament and Member of the Council of Representatives, Ahmed Al-Jubouri, at Al-Salam Palace in Baghdad.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, during the meeting, the President emphasized that Baghdad’s hosting of the Arab Parliament’s meetings underscores its commitment to fostering solidarity among Arab nations. He reiterated the Presidency’s support for strengthening cooperation and coordination between the Iraqi Council of Representatives and the Arab Parliament.



Al-Jubouri informed the President about the ongoing preparations for the Arab Parliament session to be held in Baghdad this month. He expressed gratitude to the President for his considerable support, highlighting that the Arab Parliament considers Iraq a key partner in Arab parliamentary work and values its efforts in hosting this session.
