Erbil: Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani and Progress Party leader Mohammed al-Halbousi have underscored the critical need for enhanced cooperation and joint coordination.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Kurdistan Regional Government released a statement indicating that Prime Minister Masrour Barzani, also the Deputy Leader of the Kurdistan Democratic Party, welcomed Mohammed al-Halbousi and his delegation. The meeting, held on Thursday, focused on the mutual goal of consolidating relations and strengthening collaboration frameworks among Iraqi political forces and parties to address various challenges and overcome current obstacles.

The statement further noted that both leaders highlighted the importance of maintaining Iraq's democratic and federal system, while supporting the federal government to ensure the constitutional rights of all Iraqi communities are upheld. They also emphasized the need for delivering services to all Iraqis based on principles of justice and equality, without discrimination.
