Erbil: Kurdistan Regional Government Prime Minister Masrour Barzani announced an agreement with Dana Gas to resume production at the Kormor gas field and restore electricity to the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Barzani expressed gratitude to the people of Kurdistan for their patience following a recent terrorist attack targeting the gas infrastructure in the region, which resulted in a power outage affecting millions across Kurdistan and Iraq.

Barzani stated, "We have reached an agreement with Dana Gas to resume production within the next few hours, paving the way for restoring power to homes." He also called on the Prime Minister of the Federal Government, Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, to identify and hold accountable those responsible for the attack.

Emphasizing collaborative efforts, Barzani noted that the Kurdistan Regional Government is working closely with the Federal Government to prevent future terrorist attacks and ensure the security of essential infrastructure.
