Erbil: Prime Minister of the Kurdistan Regional Government, Masrour Barzani, on Monday condemned drone attacks targeting the region, stressing that they constitute a dangerous escalation and a direct threat to the security and stability of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Barzani stated in a post on X that the Kurdistan Region’s Counter-Terrorism Directorate had conducted investigations, revealing that his personal office and the residence of the Director of the Parastin Agency were specifically targeted in Iranian drone attacks.

Barzani expressed strong condemnation of these actions, labeling them as reckless and unacceptable. He emphasized that these attacks represent a significant threat to the region’s security and stability.

He assured that such attacks would not deter the government from fulfilling its duties and protecting its citizens, reaffirming their commitment to maintaining security in the region.
