Basra Education Directorate Launches Summer Arts Training Program


Baghdad: The Basra Directorate General of Education has initiated an extensive summer training and development program in visual arts for middle and high school students. This initiative is being held at the Ramadan Mubarak Girls’ Middle School and focuses on cultivating artistic talents, refining creative abilities, and utilizing the summer vacation to enhance students’ artistic skills.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, Alaa Saleh Al-Zarkani, Director of the School Activities Department at the Directorate, stated that the course will run for two weeks. It will cover the fundamentals of drawing, painting, artistic composition, and the initial steps in visual arts. These sessions will be conducted under the guidance of a select group of specialized supervisors and trainers.



Al-Zarkani further mentioned that this course is the first in a series of training programs the School Activities Department plans to organize during the summer vacation. He encouraged talented students and those eager to develop their artistic skills to register and participate, emphasizing the stimulating learning environment and unique opportunities these courses offer for discovering creativity and honing talents.
