Basra: The Governor of Basra, Engineer Asaad Al-Eidani, engaged in discussions with the head of the Iraqi Tourism Authority, Engineer Nasser Ghanem Murad, at the governorate headquarters. Their meeting focused on strategies to advance the tourism sector and elevate Basra’s status as a prominent tourist destination in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions centered around key issues and strategic plans to enhance tourism services within the governorate. They also addressed the removal of obstacles impeding investment projects in this crucial sector. Governor Al-Eidani highlighted the local government’s commitment to the tourism industry, emphasizing the provision of essential facilities and support to the Tourism Authority. Engineer Nasser Ghanem Murad, head of the Tourism Authority, acknowledged the extensive support from Governor Al-Eidani. He praised the continuous efforts and close monitoring that are instrumental in expediting project completion and enhancing tourist facilities. Murad also noted that the Authority is collaborating closely with the Basra local government to craft a contemporary vision that aligns with global tourism industry trends.
