Basra: A man accused of fraud for selling a plot of land to more than one person is in the custody of Basra police. Basra police arrested a man accused of fraud for selling a plot of land to multiple people.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Basra Governorate Police Command stated in a press release today: “Detachments from the Basra Police Station were able to arrest a suspect who defrauded several citizens by selling a plot of land in the old Mashraq area to more than one person.”

The statement added: “After conducting investigations and verifying the information, the suspect was located and arrested. The necessary legal procedures have been taken against him, and he has been referred to the competent authorities to complete the investigation.”
