Basra: Police forces arrested a motorcycle theft gang in the Abu Al-Khaseeb district of Basra. The police Command stated in a statement: “The gang was arrested after receiving reports of a motorcycle theft in the Hamdan area, and after gathering information and conducting investigations.”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, two pistols and a GC rifle, along with several rounds of ammunition, were seized from the gang members, in addition to the seizure of six motorcycles of various types.

During the initial investigation, the accused confessed to committing more than 25 motorcycle thefts in various areas of Basra Governorate. The necessary legal measures were taken against them and they were referred to the competent judicial authorities.
