Basra: The Basra Youth and Sports Directorate, in collaboration with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), organized a transformative training workshop aimed at enhancing life skills among young people through sports. The workshop, titled “Life Skills Using Sports,” saw the active participation of 24 young men and women.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the workshop comprised multiple training modules, focusing on the introduction to the program, technical and personal skills, communication and cooperation skills, leadership and decision-making, as well as goal setting, self-responsibility, and self-discipline. These modules were designed to activate the role of youth in various fields, develop their energies, creativity, and skills, and ultimately enhance their capabilities in daily life.
The workshop was held under the supervision of the Organizations Division and was managed by trainer Sara Zuhair Dawood. The initiative reflects a commitment to empowering youth by equipping them with vital life skills that are crucial for personal and professional growth.
