Baghdad: Baghdad Operations Command issued a call on Thursday to private vehicle owners to contribute to the reverse transportation. A statement from the command stated that “private vehicle owners of all types should head to the holy city of Karbala to contribute, along with their brothers in the security forces and service departments, to provide assistance and facilitation for the reverse transportation process and also transport pilgrims who have completed the pilgrimage from Karbala to the capital, as a result of the massive crowds of millions mourning the Arbaeen commemoration of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him).”

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the statement added that “the route will be from Baghdad – Mahmoudiya – Sayyid Abdullah – Al-Fadhiliya Bridge – towards the holy city of Karbala and vice versa.”
