Border Forces Commander Confirms Stability and Coordination at Syrian-Iraq Border

Baghdad: Border Forces Commander Lieutenant General Mohammed Abdul Wahab Sakr Al-Saidi confirmed on Tuesday that the situation on the border is normal and that the movements on the Syrian side to secure the border are being carried out with our knowledge and in coordination with us.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Al-Saidi stated that "the situation on the border with Syria is normal, and the movements on the Syrian side to secure the border are being carried out with our knowledge and in coordination with us."

"There is no current threat on the border, and there is an exchange and coordination of information with the Syrian border forces," he added.

"Our forces are firmly securing the border, and the Syrian side has not yet activated the border posts," he continued.
