Border Forces: Thwarting the Smuggling of 23 Kilograms of Captagon via Hot Air Balloon


Baghdad: The Border Forces Command announced today, Sunday, the thwarting of the smuggling of 23 kg of Captagon via a hot air balloon.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Command stated, “A force from the Sixth Border Brigade, in a joint mission with the Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances, managed to thwart a new smuggling attempt via a hot air balloon.”



The statement further revealed, “During the operation, a balloon was seized that was loaded with (22 kg and 960 grams) of Captagon narcotic pills, which the smugglers attempted to bring into the country in an unconventional manner.”



The Command emphasized, “This confirms the high vigilance and continuous readiness of the Border Forces to confront smuggling networks and protect the security and stability of the homeland.”
