Baqubah: A detachment of divers recovered the body of a boy who drowned in the Diyala River on the outskirts of Baqubah, the capital of Diyala Governorate.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, a police source revealed that the body of a 14-year-old boy was retrieved from the Diyala River near the Al-Huwaider area. The boy reportedly fell into the river following an epileptic seizure, which tragically led to his drowning.

The police source further mentioned that the boy’s body has been transferred to the Forensic Medicine Department to complete the necessary legal procedures.
