Baghdad: MP Ribwar Karim, a candidate for the position of Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, has confirmed that he will proceed with his candidacy, supported by MPs and heads of national blocs.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Karim has denied any rumors suggesting his withdrawal from the race. He emphasized that his decision to continue is backed by MPs and heads of national blocs, which is driven by a sense of national responsibility and respect for the constitutional process, aligning with the public interest.

MP Ribwar Karim, affiliated with the Position Bloc, was officially sworn in today. The Position Bloc is a newly formed group led by former MP Ghalib Muhammad Ali, who previously separated from the Change Bloc. Karim’s candidacy reflects a strategic move by the Position Bloc to secure influential positions within the parliamentary structure.
