Baghdad: In a recent letter addressed to the leader of the Sadrist Movement, Mr. Muqtada al-Sadr, Cardinal Louis Raphael Sako has reaffirmed his stance against the normalization of relations with the Zionist entity.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Cardinal Sako underscored the deep-rooted Iraqi identity and patriotism of the Christian community in his communication. He highlighted the numerous challenges faced by Christians in Iraq, stating, “Christians have suffered from terrorism and targeting; seven clergymen have been assassinated, and one million Christians have emigrated from Iraq.” The letter serves as a reminder of the ongoing struggles and the steadfastness of the Christian community in the face of adversity.
