Ceasefire Agreement Achieved Between US and Yemen’s Ansar Allah

Baghdad: The Sultanate of Oman announced the success of its ceasefire mediation efforts between the United States and the Ansar Allah group in Yemen. The Omani Foreign Ministry released a statement highlighting the results of recent discussions and contacts conducted by Oman with both parties to achieve de-escalation. The agreement ensures that neither side will target the other, including US ships in the Red Sea and Bab al-Mandab, thereby guaranteeing freedom of navigation and the smooth flow of international commercial shipping.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, US President Donald Trump stated earlier that the Ansar Allah group expressed a desire to cease hostilities, which he described as positive. Trump announced from the White House that the United States will immediately halt airstrikes in Yemen, accepting the group’s assurance to stop their attacks and deciding to cease bombing activities at once.
