Chairman of Communications and Media Commission Discusses Telecom Sector Development with Parliamentary Committee Member

Baghdad: The Chairman of the Board of Commissioners of the Communications and Media Commission, Balasim Salem, engaged in a meeting with Maha Alwani, a member of the Parliamentary Committee on Transportation and Communications, to deliberate on the development of Iraq's telecommunications sector.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the discussions focused on laws and legislation pertinent to the Commission's work, aiming to refine the legislative and regulatory framework to align with technological advancements. The talks also centered on enhancing the telecommunications sector's efficiency and encouraging investment.

The meeting also addressed strategies for improving the quality of mobile phone services and ensuring telecommunications companies comply with existing regulations and instructions. These measures are expected to enhance the services provided to citizens and increase user satisfaction.

Balasim Salem underscored the necessity of ongoing collaboration between the Communications and Media Commission and the Parliamentary Committee on Transportation and Communications. This partnership is deemed crucial for enacting the necessary legislation to advance the telecommunications sector, improve service quality, and serve the public interest.
