Chief of Staff of Popular Mobilization Forces Inspects Anbar Border Security


ANBAR: The Chief of Staff of the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), Abdulaziz Al-Muhammadawi, conducted an inspection of the border strip between Iraq and Syria in the western Anbar region. Accompanied by leaders and directors from various branches, Al-Muhammadawi assessed the readiness of the forces stationed along the border, focusing on their ability to secure the area amid challenging geographical and weather conditions.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement from the Popular Mobilization Commission highlighted Al-Muhammadawi’s commendation of the fighters’ resilience and dedication to maintaining security in Anbar Governorate. He emphasized the importance of enhancing technical and intelligence efforts to prevent infiltration and terrorist activities that could disrupt the region’s stability.



Al-Muhammadawi also noted the ongoing cooperation between PMF units and other security forces, underscoring the coordination required to maintain border integrity. His visit, now in its second day, included stops at strategic locations such as Al-Qaim District and the Border Forces Command in the Second Region, where he continued his assessment of operations.
