Chief of Staff of the Army Inspects Military Units in Tarmiyah, North of Baghdad


Tarmiyah: The Chief of Staff of the Army, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, inspected the sector of responsibility of the 23rd Brigade of the 6th Infantry Division and its attached units north of the capital. He was accompanied by the Lieutenant General Assistant Chief of Staff for Operations, the Lieutenant General Commander of the Land Forces, and the Secretary of the Intelligence of the Chief of Staff.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a statement by the Ministry of Defense indicated that Yarallah received a detailed briefing upon his arrival. The briefing covered the sector of responsibility, deployment of units, tasks, duties, and security measures implemented to enhance security and stability in areas north of the capital.



The statement further elaborated that several important topics were discussed to improve the readiness and combat capabilities of the units. Emphasis was placed on intensifying intelligence efforts and continuing preemptive operations to pursue the remaining “defeated” terrorist elements and outlaws. The need for cooperation with citizens to prevent threats to security and community peace was also underscored.



The Chief of Staff commended the efforts of the security forces of the Sixth Infantry Division and its attached units for maintaining the security achievements in all areas of Tarmiyah District.
