China Warns Citizens About Risks of Traveling to United States

Beijing: China urged its tourists on Wednesday to “fully assess the risks” before traveling to the United States, following Beijing’s decision to increase tariffs on American goods in response to similar measures by President Donald Trump. The Chinese Ministry of Culture and Tourism issued this advisory amidst escalating trade tensions between the two nations.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the warning from China came shortly after Beijing announced its plan to impose an additional 50% tariff on all US imports. This move was a direct retaliation against the increased tariffs on Chinese goods imposed by US President Donald Trump. The advisory highlights the deteriorating Sino-US trade relations and concerns about the domestic security situation in the United States as key reasons for the travel warning.

This development marks a new phase in the ongoing trade conflict between the United States and China, with both countries taking significant measures against each other’s economic interests. The advisory serves as a caution to Chinese citizens about the potential risks involved in traveling to the United States during this period of heightened tensions.
