Commander of Western Nineveh Operations Stresses Border Security and Anti-Terrorism Efforts


Nineveh: Lieutenant General Ali Fadhil Imran, Commander of Western Nineveh Operations, has underscored the importance of securing borders and pursuing terrorist cells as part of ongoing efforts to maintain regional stability and security.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, during a field tour of his area of responsibility, Lieutenant General Imran emphasized the enhancement of combat and training readiness among military units. The Ministry of Defense highlighted that his tour included visits to the 72nd Infantry Brigade headquarters, the Northern Command Headquarters of the 15th Division, the 6th Border Region Command, and the 20th Infantry Division.



Throughout the tour, Lieutenant General Imran assessed the readiness levels, security duties, and deployment of eight units. He issued directives for continued training and mission execution in line with established plans, advocating for strengthened coordination among security formations to prevent security breaches and ensure stability in the region.
