Baladruz: The Director of Diyala Electricity Distribution, Engineer Maitham Hadi Ahmed, announced the commencement of technical work for installing electrical equipment for the construction of the Kasirat secondary substation (33/11KV) in Baladruz district, east of Baquba.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the engineering and technical teams have begun implementing the installation of electrical equipment according to the established schedule, with continuous on-site monitoring to ensure the project is completed according to the required technical specifications. This effort aims to pave the way for the substation’s operation and provide the electrical grid with additional power, which will contribute to enhanced network reliability.

Maitham Hadi Ahmed remarked that bringing the Kasirat secondary substation online will significantly enhance the distribution sector’s infrastructure in Baladruz district. It is expected to address power bottlenecks, reduce loads on power distribution networks and lines, and improve the stability and hours of electricity supply to areas experiencing high loads. This development will have a positive impact on the level of service provided to citizens.

He also noted that the Diyala Electricity Distribution Company continues to implement its strategic projects and development plans aimed at expanding the electrical grid and creating new feeder points. These efforts are designed to meet the increasing demand for electricity and raise the efficiency of the system across various areas of the governorate.
