Baghdad: Contractors working with the Diwaniyah municipality were arrested for financial and administrative violations. According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Integrity Committee of the Diwaniyah Provincial Council announced the arrest of several contractors due to these violations.

Committee Chairman Ahmed Saqr al-Badiri stated, “The arrests took place at dawn today, Friday, pursuant to judicial orders.” He further mentioned that during the operation, documents and seals suspected of belonging to the Diwaniyah Municipality were seized.
