Kirkuk: The advisor to the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Antiquities, Gulshan Kamal, discussed ways to support Turkmen culture and education, and to enhance cooperation and coordination with cultural and educational organizations and institutions, in order to revitalize cultural and educational activities in the province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, this came during a field visit she made to Kirkuk Governorate, during which she met with the head of the Turkmen Education Organizations, Yilgam Hormuzlu, in the presence of the organization's vice president, Jud Nasih, and a number of board members.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the current state of Turkmen culture and education, as well as the most prominent challenges and needs, and issues of common interest. They also discussed mechanisms for developing cooperation and coordination between governmental institutions and cultural and educational organizations, and supporting programs and activities that contribute to strengthening the cultural and educational landscape in the governorate.

During her remarks, Kulshan emphasized the importance of direct communication with organizations and cultural and educational centers in the governorates to understand their needs and listen to their visions and proposals. She indicated her readiness to follow up on the ideas and proposals raised during the meeting and forward them to the relevant authorities to support the cultural and educational movement in Kirkuk.

For her part, the head of the Turkmen Education Organizations praised the visit's significance in strengthening communication between government institutions and cultural and educational organizations. She affirmed the organization's commitment to continuing cooperation and coordination, and supporting programs and events that serve culture and education and contribute to revitalizing cultural and educational activity in the governorate.
