Ramadi: Customs officials in the Western Region, in collaboration with the Directorate of Combating Organized Crime in Anbar Governorate, have successfully intercepted and seized three trucks loaded with processed meat products that were en route to Baghdad. This operation was conducted based on precise intelligence regarding violations of customs procedures.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the General Authority of Customs announced in a press release that the trucks, which contained processed white meat and chicken livers, were apprehended within the city of Ramadi. Legal measures were promptly initiated following the acquisition of a warrant from the competent investigating judge. Subsequently, the trucks were transferred to the Western Region Customs to finalize the necessary procedures in compliance with the Customs Law and applicable regulations.

The Authority reiterated its commitment to ongoing field efforts aimed at combating smuggling and addressing violations of customs laws and regulations. This initiative, carried out in coordination with relevant security and regulatory entities, is intended to protect the national economy and reinforce the rule of law.
