Ceuta: The governor of Ceuta, Juan Jesus Vivas, announced today that the death toll among migrants who stormed the city has reached 100. This tragic development follows a massive influx of migrants into the Spanish enclave from Morocco.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Vivas disclosed to the European Parliament that approximately 100 individuals lost their lives amid the surge of migrants across the border last week. He further stated that between 3,000 and 5,000 migrants are currently residing in Ceuta.

The Moroccan Interior Ministry reported last Sunday that approximately 40,000 migrants attempted to cross into Ceuta irregularly. The ministry emphasized that Moroccan authorities are working with Spanish counterparts to confirm the reported deaths, establish the actual number of migrants involved, and identify their nationalities.

Spanish media sources have reported that the number of bodies recovered from the sea off Ceuta has increased to 88. Additionally, Spanish security sources indicated that about 69,500 migrants have returned to Morocco after entering Ceuta in recent days.
