Defense Minister and NATO Commander Discuss Expansion of Training and Combat Readiness Partnership


Baghdad: Defense Minister Thabet Mohammed Saeed Al-Abbasi engaged in discussions with Lieutenant General Lukas Schweizer, the Commander of the NATO Mission in Iraq, focusing on expanding the partnership in training, preparedness, and combat readiness.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Ministry of Defense released a statement detailing the meeting, which was attended by senior officers from the ministry. The discussions centered around enhancing cooperation and coordination between the two entities. The goal is to expand the partnership in various aspects, including training and combat readiness, while also providing expertise to develop the capabilities of the Iraqi army.
