Baghdad: The Minister of Defense, Thabet Mohammed Al-Abbasi, has emphasized the necessity of exercising vigilance and caution to ensure the sanctity of the visit of Imam Al-Kadhim is not disrupted by infiltrators.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Al-Abbasi made these remarks during a visit to the Military Intelligence Directorate, where he was welcomed by the Director of Military Intelligence, Major General Hassan Jawad Al-Silawi. The minister engaged in an extensive meeting with key officials, including staff officers and department managers, to review the security plan and special preparations aimed at securing the visit of Imam Musa Al-Kadhim on the anniversary of his martyrdom.

Al-Abbasi underscored the importance of activating intelligence sources and expanding the deployment of military intelligence personnel. This strategic move is intended to thwart any attempts by dormant cells to compromise the peaceful environment cherished by the Iraqi people. He praised the efforts of the heroic forces in their relentless pursuit to neutralize threats and ensure that such cells do not gain a foothold in Iraq.
