Al-mira: The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Army for Al-Mira, Lieutenant General Hamid Anad, met with the Commander of the NATO Mission in Iraq, Major General Christoph Henze, along with his accompanying delegation, at the department’s headquarters.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the meeting focused on enhancing joint cooperation and coordination between the Iraqi army and NATO, specifically in logistical support and training. Discussions included leveraging international expertise to build Iraqi army capabilities, with an emphasis on adopting modern training methods to elevate the standards of training institutions under the Al-Mira Department. There is a concerted effort to expand the training partnership’s scope.

Lieutenant General Anad underscored Iraq’s dedication to integrating advanced training methodologies and technologies in collaboration with partners possessing significant training expertise. He highlighted Iraq’s strategic shift towards sourcing armaments from countries with advanced military manufacturing and logistical support capabilities, moving away from less effective sources.

The Deputy Chief of Staff also emphasized the Ministry of Defense’s focus on the electronic automation project within the military establishment. This project is crucial for enhancing organizational efficiency and streamlining administrative and technical operations. Significant progress has been achieved by the Military Coding Center under the Al Meera Department, particularly in standardizing equipment codes through a unified warehouse management system and developing a precise database to minimize administrative hurdles.
