Basra: The Deputy Governor of Basra, Mu’in al-Hassan, convened with security leaders to discuss the coordination of security and service efforts for the upcoming Arba’een of Imam Hussein. This meeting included the commanders of Basra Operations, the provincial police, and the director of the Shalamcheh border crossing.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, during an inspection of the Shalamcheh crossing, al-Hassan instructed authorities to remove obstacles and resolve issues that could hinder the movement of pilgrims. This initiative aims to ensure a smooth entry for pilgrims and provide them with optimal services.

Al-Hassan emphasized that the Basra government, led by Governor Asaad al-Eidani, is actively preparing the Shalamcheh crossing with necessary facilities. These efforts are intended to aid pilgrims in reaching the holy city of Karbala for the Arba’een pilgrimage.
