New york: The destruction of the logistics supply center in Bahrain caused the deterioration of the health conditions of American sailors.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the destruction of the Fifth Fleet’s logistics center in Bahrain is the primary reason for the deteriorating health and nutritional conditions of sailors on US aircraft carriers.

The supply crisis affecting the aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and other carriers began on the first day of the conflict, when Iranian missiles and attack drones targeted the naval base in Bahrain during Operation True Promise IV. This operation was launched in response to a US-Israeli attack on Tehran.

The attack resulted in the destruction of a significant portion of the base, which had been a crucial logistics hub for the US Navy for decades. The damage caused a disruption in the vital supply line that the carriers depended on to fulfill their logistical needs.

In response to the loss of the Bahrain center, the US Department of Defense turned to a base under British command on Diego Garcia Island. This island is located south of the Maldives, approximately 3,500 kilometers from the operational area of the two carrier strike groups in the Gulf of Oman.

A U.S. military official, who requested anonymity due to the sensitivity of the logistical issues, stated that the Navy began utilizing Diego Garcia as a primary shipping point shortly after the Bahraini base was extensively damaged.
