Damascus: Southern Lebanon Southern Lebanon witnessed a sharp Israeli escalation at dawn on Saturday, resulting in martyrs in the town of Ansar amidst heavy aerial activity and extensive search operations in southern Lebanon.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, media outlets reported that six people were martyred and two others wounded in an initial toll from an Israeli airstrike that targeted an inhabited house in the town of Ansar, in the Nabatieh district.
They explained that “warplanes launched a series of raids at dawn today targeting the Ali al-Taher heights and the town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa, accompanied by mock raids and the dropping of flares.”
The media added that “Israeli helicopters carried out search operations towards the Ali al-Taher heights, while the heights and the surrounding area of Nabatieh al-Fawqa were subjected to heavy artillery shelling, including the use of phosphorus shells,” noting “clashes broke out between Hezbollah and the Israeli army in the Ali al-Taher heights.”
