Diyala: A vehicle loaded with untested medicines was seized in Diyala by a joint team from the Diyala Health Department and detachments from the National Security Directorate. The operation took place at a security checkpoint in the al-Ghalibiya area, northwest of Baquba, and the vehicle was reportedly coming from Baghdad.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faris al-Azzawi, Director of Media for the Diyala Health Department, confirmed that the vehicle was carrying smuggled medicines. Legal measures have been taken against the violator, who has been referred to the judiciary for appropriate legal action. Al-Azzawi highlighted the ongoing efforts of regulatory bodies to monitor the movement of medicines and prevent the circulation of untested products, aiming to protect citizens and ensure access to safe medicines.
