Diyala: Governor Adnan al-Shammari met with representatives of the Chinese company Geo Jade Petroleum to review the latest developments in the Naft Khana oil field project. During the meeting, held at the governorate headquarters, the project’s implementation phases were reviewed, the progress of ongoing work was discussed, and the most significant needs and obstacles facing the implementation phases were identified. This aims to expedite the work and complete the project according to the established plans and timelines.
According to National Iraqi News Agency, the governor emphasized the importance of monitoring oil projects in the province, given their economic and developmental significance. He stressed the need to strengthen coordination and cooperation between relevant authorities and operating companies, and to overcome obstacles to ensure the continuation of work and the achievement of desired goals.
For their part, the company representatives provided details of the work and completion rates, affirming their commitment to continuing efforts to complete the work according to approved technical standards, serving the oil sector and supporting economic development in Diyala province.
