Diyala: The Diyala Health Department announced the seizure of large quantities of smuggled, untested medications hidden inside a vehicle arriving from a neighboring province.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Faris al-Azzawi, the department’s media director, stated that a joint team from the inspection department of the provincial health department and National Security detachments intercepted a vehicle. The vehicle was loaded with quantities of smuggled medications concealed inside suitcases and under the vehicle’s seats.

He further mentioned that the seized items were confiscated, and the necessary legal measures were taken against the violator, following applicable health regulations and instructions.
