Baghdad: Three wanted individuals were arrested in Baquba under Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law. The Diyala Police Command announced the arrest, stating that the operation was carried out with the cooperation of several security entities.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the Diyala Police Command issued a statement detailing the operation. Under the supervision of Diyala Police Chief, Major General Muhammad Kadhim Atiya, detachments from the Baquba Police Department worked in coordination with the Diyala Intelligence and Counter-Terrorism Directorate to apprehend the individuals. They were wanted by the judiciary under Article 4 of the Counter-Terrorism Law.

The statement from the Command highlighted that the operation was a result of meticulous intelligence gathering and intensive security efforts. These efforts enabled the authorities to identify the location of the wanted individuals, conduct a raid, and arrest them in accordance with legal procedures.

The individuals have been referred to the competent judicial authorities to complete the investigations. The Diyala Police Command emphasized that this operation is part of their ongoing efforts to pursue wanted individuals and enhance security and stability in the province.
