Diyala University Ranks High in 2026 EduRank Global Rankings

Diyala: Diyala University has achieved advanced results in the 2026 EduRank global ranking, confirming its standing among Iraqi, Asian, and international universities. This new academic achievement reflects the university's continuous development and strengthens its presence in global rankings.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Diyala University ranked 4561st globally out of 14,131 universities, and 1570th in Asia out of 5,830 universities. It also ranked 15th in Iraq out of 62 Iraqi universities included in the ranking, a clear indication of its rising academic standing and growing scientific presence on the international stage.

The President of Diyala University, Tahseen Hussein Mubarak, told a correspondent from NINA that this achievement represents an extension of the university's successes in various global rankings and embodies the fruits of institutional work and strategic planning adopted by the university administration to improve the quality of education and scientific research.

He added that the continuous progress achieved by Diyala University in global rankings reflects the significant efforts exerted by its professors, researchers, and staff. He emphasized that investing in scientific research and developing the academic environment has become a strategic choice that yields results year after year. We will move steadily towards enhancing the quality of our scientific output, supporting publication in reputable journals, and expanding international academic partnerships. This will strengthen the university's position and make it more competitive regionally and globally, in line with the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research's directives to build reputable Iraqi universities with a sustainable scientific and intellectual impact.

This achievement embodies Diyala University's commitment to achieving the fourth Sustainable Development Goal (quality education) by improving the quality of university education, promoting scientific research, and building a competitive academic environment that contributes to preparing qualified scientific personnel capable of contributing to sustainable development and serving the community.
