Dubai: The Dubai Comedy Festival returns for its seventh edition, bringing a ten-day extravaganza of entertainment, fun, and laughter to the city from October 9 to 18.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the festival will feature a diverse lineup of live comedy performances by some of the biggest names in Arab and international comedy. The event reinforces Dubai's role as a global hub for entertainment and the arts, with shows in multiple languages held at unique venues throughout the city, ensuring audiences enjoy a vibrant atmosphere and a celebration of cultural diversity.

A highlight of the festival includes a special evening at the Dubai Opera with the comedy play "The Engineer of Public Taste," which combines humor and lighthearted satire to tell the story of a young couple preparing for a significant life milestone.

The festival continues with Indian comedy star Jamie Lever, who will perform at the Emirates Theatre in Jumeirah. Lever is known for her talent in impersonating celebrities and is one of India's leading comedians.

Dubai audiences can also anticipate a live performance by Indian stand-up comedian Munawar Farooqui at the Dubai Opera. Additionally, Russian comedian Alexander Merkol will perform at the New Covent Garden Theatre in Mall of the Emirates on October 15.

American comedian Margaret Hannah Arendt will showcase her new live show, "Million Dollar Excuses," at the Dubai Opera. Furthermore, Lebanese comedy star John Ashkar will present his performance of "We Can Talk" at the same venue.
