Kinshasa: The number of Ebola victims in the Democratic Republic of Congo has risen to more than 1,400. Health authorities in the Democratic Republic of Congo announced that the death toll from the Ebola virus has reached 1,405.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the authorities explained that the total number of confirmed Ebola cases has reached 3,200, including 1,405 deaths, following the outbreak of the seventeenth wave of the virus in the country on May 15th. The World Health Organization previously announced the start of clinical trials for two treatments, in addition to granting emergency use authorization for the first molecular diagnostic test specifically designed to detect the virus.
