Ecuadorian President Survives Assassination Attempt as Motorcade Comes Under Fire

Ecuador city: Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa survived a shooting attack targeting his motorcade, according to Environment Minister Ines Manzano. This occurred after hundreds of protesters against fuel price hikes attempted to attack the convoy.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Minister Manzano stated that about 500 people gathered in front of the main motorcade and began throwing stones at it, and there were bullet holes on the president's car.

She added that the president remains determined to continue with his agenda. "Our president is very strong and courageous, and he continues to move forward and follow his agenda as usual," she said.

The minister further reported that five people were arrested following the shooting attack on President Noboa's motorcade.

The government released a video, purportedly filmed from inside the convoy, which shows protesters wrapped in flags scrambling to pick up stones and bricks to throw at the president's car.
