Accra:Efforts are underway to secure funding for the purchase of oil tankers for the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company.

According to Iraqi News Agency, Oil Minister Basim Mohammed Khudair confirmed that the Ministry of Oil is working in coordination with the government to obtain the necessary financial allocations. This initiative aims to enhance the capabilities of the Iraqi Oil Tankers Company by allowing it to conduct crude oil transport operations more effectively.

Khudair emphasized that acquiring oil tankers would not only support export operations but also ensure economic viability and maximize financial returns for Iraq.
