New york: Eight countries have jointly announced their support for the United States’ resolution on Gaza, currently under discussion at the UN Security Council. The resolution was drafted by the US following consultations with Council members and regional partners.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the United States, along with Qatar, Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Jordan, and Turkey, declared in a joint statement their endorsement of the comprehensive plan aimed at resolving the conflict in Gaza. This plan, unveiled on September 29, 2025, was celebrated during discussions in Sharm El-Sheikh.

The supporting nations emphasized that the proposed process is designed to facilitate Palestinian self-determination and statehood, offering a structured approach towards achieving peace and stability in the region.

The countries also expressed their desire for swift adoption of the resolution, underscoring its importance in advancing regional peace efforts.
