Electricity Claims Lives of Two Young Men in Separate Dhi Qar Incidents


Baghdad: Dhi Qar Governorate witnessed two incidents that claimed the lives of two young men as a result of electric shocks in two different locations, according to a security source.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, a 17-year-old youth died in Al-Gharraf district after being electrocuted as a result of a power leak in an electricity pole.



In a separate incident, another 13-year-old youth died in Al-Shoufa area of Nasiriyah after touching a fallen electrical wire in front of his house.



The source indicated that the family of the second victim filed an official complaint against the region’s electricity department.
