Emergency Arab-Islamic Summit Condemns Israeli Aggression on Doha

Doha: The emergency Arab-Islamic summit condemned the Israeli aggression on Doha. In its final statement, it affirmed that the (Israeli) aggression undermines the chances of peace in the region.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, the leaders of the League of Arab States and the Organization of Islamic Cooperation gathered in Doha, following the invitation of Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar. The summit aimed to address the Israeli aggression on Qatar and express unified condemnation and solidarity with Qatar.

The statement emphasized gratitude to Sheikh Tamim and Qatar for hosting the summit and highlighted the principles of the League of Arab States, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and the United Nations Charter, particularly the prohibition of force against any state’s territorial integrity or political independence.

The summit recalled previous resolutions rejecting attacks on Member States and reaffirmed a commitment to Arab-Islamic solidarity. It also referenced a United Nations Security Council meeting that condemned the Israeli attack, expressing support for Qatar’s sovereign rights and mediation efforts in the region.

The summit expressed full support for Qatar against the aggression, deeming it a violation of sovereignty and a threat to regional security.

The summit outlined decisions condemning the Israeli attack on a residential neighborhood in Doha on September 9, 2025, and emphasized solidarity with Qatar in its response. It also condemned Israeli threats to Qatar and other Arab and Islamic countries, calling for international condemnation and deterrent measures.

Furthermore, the summit commended Qatar’s diplomatic efforts in mediating peace in the region, reaffirming rejection of any pretext for Israeli aggression. The summit called for urgent international action to address Israeli attacks and violations of state sovereignty, stressing adherence to international law and UN resolutions.

The summit also emphasized the establishment of a Palestinian state as a priority and rejected Israeli plans to annex Palestinian territories. It commended efforts by international donors to support Gaza’s reconstruction and condemned Israeli policies causing humanitarian catastrophes.

Finally, the summit expressed deep gratitude to Qatar for its efforts in hosting the summit and its role in promoting consultation and consensus among Member States.
