Chabahar: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Iran Dmitry Koltsov has identified Chabahar as the optimal platform for joint investment and assembly of Belarusian machinery in Iran. Koltsov made these remarks during a meeting with Mohammad Saeed Arbabi, CEO of the Chabahar Free Zone Organization (CFZO), held on Sunday evening.

According to Islamic Republic News Agency, utilizing Iran’s transport infrastructure, particularly the strategic port of Chabahar, facilitates cost-effective exports of Belarusian products to both Iran and other countries. Koltsov emphasized the importance of developing economic and industrial cooperation as a priority in the strong political relationship between Tehran and Minsk. He stated Belarus’s readiness to enhance cooperation in the production and assembly of a variety of agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, and related technologies.

Koltsov further highlighted the significance of establishing workshops and assembly units in strategically advantageous areas like Chabahar. Meanwhile, Arbabi underscored Chabahar’s strategic role in regional trade dynamics. He pointed out that Chabahar serves as more than a port, linking Iran to Eurasian and CIS countries, the Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and East Africa. This makes it a reliable and economical route for exporting Belarusian products to both regional and global markets.

Arbabi expressed CFZO’s commitment to supporting Belarusian investors by allocating land, offering investment incentives, and providing a 20-year tax exemption along with reduced customs duties.
