Ankara: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized that Turkey is prepared to take swift action if there are any signs of Syria’s disintegration. Erdogan highlighted Turkey’s commitment to preserving Syria’s unity during a government meeting held at the presidential complex in Ankara.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, Erdogan stated, “We do not accept the disintegration of Syria and the destruction of its unity, and if we see a danger in this regard, we will take the necessary steps quickly.” His comments underline Turkey’s ongoing focus on regional stability and its readiness to intervene if necessary.

In his address, Erdogan also discussed the situation in Palestine. He remarked on the resilience displayed in Syria, comparing it to the struggle for justice in Palestine. He noted Turkey’s efforts to facilitate peace in Gaza amidst ongoing conflict, asserting that Turkey will continue these efforts until a positive outcome is achieved. Erdogan expressed confidence that an independent Palestinian state will eventually be established, with East Quds as its capital, based on the 1967 borders.
