Erdogan and El-Sisi Witness the Signing of Cooperation Agreements, Including a Military Agreement


Cairo: Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and his Egyptian counterpart Abdel Fattah al-Sisi witnessed the signing of several joint cooperation agreements in Cairo on Wednesday, including a military framework agreement.



According to National Iraqi News Agency, the two presidents also witnessed the signing of memoranda of understanding for cooperation in the fields of pharmaceuticals and medical supplies, plant quarantine, veterinary services, foreign trade and investment, social services, and youth and sports.



The agreements and memoranda of understanding aim to support and strengthen cooperation between the two countries in a number of areas of mutual interest, contributing to expanding Egyptian-Turkish relations.



The signing ceremony took place on the sidelines of the second meeting of the High-Level Strategic Cooperation Council between Turkey and Egypt, which focuses on strengthening the political and economic partnership between the two sides.



President Erdogan arrived in Cairo earlier that day from the Saudi capital, Riyadh.
