Washington: US President Donald Trump engaged in a phone call with Chinese President Xi Jinping, addressing bilateral relations and regional and international issues.

According to National Iraqi News Agency, following the phone call, President Trump described the interaction as “excellent,” emphasizing the strong US-China relationship and his personal rapport with President Xi. Trump shared on his social media platform, Truth Social, that the conversation was “long and in-depth,” covering important topics such as trade, defense, and his planned visit to China in April.

President Xi highlighted the sustained good communication with Trump over the past year. He emphasized the importance of approaching each other with equality, mutual respect, and mutual benefit to address shared concerns. Xi expressed his willingness to work with Trump to guide Sino-US relations toward stability.
